Krissy Dieruf

Krissy is a licensed marriage and family therapist, and lives in Minnesota with her three wild children, dreamy husband, and 70 lb boxer, Loki. She is a middle child, a peacemaker, a rebel, and a storyteller. She loves to laugh as much as she loves a good cry.

She believes mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health requires talking about everything. Especially the stuff that’s too hard to talk about. Do it anyway. She also believes that therapy should be as standard as going to the doctor every year, that dance is a sport, and that teachers are saints. If a kid has an adult at school who they know loves them, they’ll grow up to save the world.

In addition to offering free parenting, relationship, and mental health advice and insights on her Facebook Mom’s group for fun, she writes personal essays and articles about mental health and parenting. Her dream is to become a published author, and she spends her free time writing middle-grade, YA, and adult fiction novels that she is almost, kind of, hopefully, a little bit, maybe certain will end up on the shelves of Barnes & Noble someday. If they don’t, she had a blast trying.

Most of the time, she can be found reading books in parking lots, waiting to pick up her kids. When she’s not walking the dog or writing, she’s plotting crazy adventures with her husband and chasing dreams.
